08-Jan-2009

Renowned economist and academic Prof Bradford DeLong from the University of California at Berkeley shared his views on measures to help US recover from the global financial crisis. Prof DeLong, who served in the US Treasury during the Clinton administration, was in Singapore to deliver the 6th Singapore Economic Review distinguished public lecture. In an interview with the Business Times, he commented that the US$1 trillion economic stimulus package will likely succeed in spurring a recovery in the US economy, although it could take about six months to work its way through the US economy and then another six months to impact Asia.

Among the NTU faculty serving on the editorial board is Professor Euston Quah, Acting Chair of NTU’s School of Humanities and Social Sciences and Head of Division of Economics, who has been the editor since 2002.
