NTU's Yunnan Garden Campus poised to become a mini-city

Published on : 08-Feb-2011

Nanyang Technological University (NTU) has unveiled its Yunnan Garden Campus Master Plan, which will transform the campus – the largest in Singapore at 200 hectares – into a mini-city. The masterplan sets the direction for the physical development of the university over the next 15-25 years. When the Master Plan is fully realised, the campus will have numerous informal meeting points dotting its green landscape to encourage cross-faculty and industry interaction. Future visitors can expect to find retail outlets, eateries, and possibly a theatre at the new Campus Centre, which will become the heart of NTU. The Centre will feature a pedestrian promenade, creating a ribbon of diverse meeting places, with academic, social and residential facilities located alongside each other. NTU will also create a seamless physical integration with its neighbour, the upcoming CleanTech Park.
