​NTU professors says preserving marine environments is important as toxins can be turned into drugs

In a commentary by Prof George Kanianthara Chandy from NTU's Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, the topic of using venom found in nature to create new drugs was highlighted. To date, some 16 drugs derived from venom have been approved for use in people while several more are undergoing clinical trials.
