To promote a resilient and can-do spirit among Singaporeans, and to encourage more people to chase their dreams, a team from NTU Singapore will attempt to summit Mount Everest, the world's highest mountain. Called the NTU-NIE Everest Singapore Team, they are Dr Arjunan Saravana Pillai and Nur Yusrina Ya'akob from the NIE at NTU, and Jeremy Tong, a graduate from NTU's Sports Science and Management programme. They aim to scale the 8,848m Everest, which is located along the China-Nepal border, by June 2017.
