New membrane water treatment system to reduce toxic waste and waste disposal cost

Published on : 27-Feb-2019

A new locally-developed water treatment system can treat industrial wastewater effectively, reducing more than 90 per cent in costs for companies in the manufacturing and processing industries. Over the past year, the START Centre at NTU has tested a new type of hollow-fibre membrane with encouraging results. It will collaborate with Memsift Innovations Pte Ltd, a water tech start-up, to build a new pilot plant to test the scaled-up membrane for industrial wastewater treatment.
